To use Gmail as a free hard disk you will need to download Gmail Drive. It will be a zip file.

After downloading it, Extract the files and install the Gmail drive

Thats it you are done. Go to "My Computer" you will see a new partition there. Open it.

One ore good feature about it is that no one can access your files in that drive as it requires your Gmail username and password to login and access your files.

Last but not the least. If 7 Gb space is not enough for you? Log out from your drive by right clicking it. Make a new Gmail id and then loging with that id to get 7GB more. Isn't that awesome. Go ahead try it! Thank me later :)

And yeah you cannot upload .exe files to the drive. If you want to upload .exe files, first zip it then upload it.

Extract Text From Image Using OCR With Google Docs

OCR stands for optical character recognition. What it does is, it reads the text from an image file and extract it and reproduce it in the form of text document. Isn't it great? It is one of my favorite Google tricks. You can find many OCR tools and software on the internet to do your work. BUT this one is the best as it is not a separate software. You don't have to download anything. It is integrated in Google Docs and you can use it online using your Gmail account.

Lets suppose you have a document in hard copy and you want the same document in your computer. You don't have to write the text to get a copy in the computer too. You just scan the document and using this trick you can reproduce the document from the scanned image.

How to use the OCR feature of Google Docs?

Step 1:

You will have to sign in to Google Docs account and you will be redirected to Google drive account.

Step 2:

You will have to change the upload settings in order to use OCR .

Click on "Convert text from uploaded PDG and image files"

Now just upload the image and your work is done. Leave the rest to for google to do it. BUT the quality of the optical character recognition may not be perfect.Don't worry google is trying to improve its performance and you will get the perfect results in near future.

Step 3:

Click on the red button to upload the file.

Step 4:

Upload the file and you are done. :)

First log in to your Gmail account and and click on the link to go to Advance Account Settings.

Step 2:
Click on the security tab on the left.

Step 3:
Click on the edit button beside "2-Step Verification" and enter your details to configure your cellphone to receive the code every time someone sign in to your account.

Step 4:
After setting up your phone numbers and cellphone details click on "Set up 2-step verification".

Step 5:
You are almost done. Only last three steps are remaining it will ask you to setup your phone, verify your computer and Activate. Click next one each one and you are good to go.

STEP 1:
The first and essential requirement to take a screenshot using Microsoft Word 2010 is that you have installed it on your computer.

STEP 2:
Go to "Insert" tab located at the top of software and then select "Screenshot" from the list.

STEP 3:
There are two ways to take screenshot; means you could take the screenshot of entire window or manually select the desired area.

Taking a Screenshot of Entire Window

Now, take a look at the example of taking screenshot of entire window.

Suppose, you want to take capture the image of this window for some purpose:

So without minimizing current window, go to Microsoft Word app

Now when you click over Screenshot from the Insert menu, it will show you list of available window, now select the above window to paste the image.

After selecting, the image of the desired window automatically paste onto the app.

Now look at the example of taking screenshot of the desired area.

Hide all active windows at simultaneously by using shortcut key Win+D

When you're done, it will automatically paste onto MS Word.

Click on share, which will give you a code which you will use to connect to this computer.

That is all you need to do on your computer. Now go to other computer and repeat the same steps till 7 and then instead of share click on "Access" enter the code and you are done. Enjoy using any computer from any where :)


You can do anything on the computer using this remote desktop extension. You can even shutdown the other PC.

NOTE: Shutting down other PC will cause the connection to disconnect and you will have to reconnect to use the computer again. This time the code will have to be regenerated.
