Set Up Google's 2 Step Verification To Protect Your Account From Being HACKED

Google's 2 Step Verification

The use of emails has increased drastically in recent years. Setting up Google's 2 step verification helps in protecting your account  from being hacked so that your private emails are not leaked. Cracking passwords is a piece of cake for hackers  let "Two step verification" process protect your email address for you.

How "Two Step Verification" Works?

In case your password is leaked or some one knows the answer of your security question and he logs in to your account.the verification process will stop him right there and ask him for a verification code. The best thing about the code is every time you sign in it will send you a new and unique verification code to your cellphone and if you don't have a cell phone you can configure it to your land line. Google will call you each time to give you the code. So if some one wants to use your email address he will have to snatch your cellphone then only he can use your Gmail or Google+ account. This is the best Google trick I have came across.

How To Configure Google's Two Step Verification?

Step 1:
First log in to your Gmail account and and click on the link to go to Advance Account Settings.

I have multiple accounts online and only feel
secure if I telesign into them. This gives me the confidence that my account
won't get hijacked or my credit card information isn't up for grabs. In fact I
am not sure why 2FA has not become industry standard. This should be a
prerequisite to any system that wants to promote itself as being secure.

Very well said. Every industry should implement this. I use it and I am very much confident that my account wont be hacked,
