Windows 8 Release Date - Latest News and Update!

After a huge success of Windows 7, the latest version Windows 8 is going to be release on October,26 this year. It is being considered as the most awaited day to Microsoft lovers and fans. However it is still under development phase to come up with great features. 
Windows is the most commonly and widely used Operating System in the world being developed by Microsoft. It is a great challenge for Microsoft now, to make an OS which is more impressive than its previous version Windows 7.

Windows 8 Features:

Keeping in mind the challenges from other OS developing companies specially Apple; Windows 8 is packed with a bundle of exciting new features and an impressive User Interface. Let’s take a look at some of the new features which are introduced with Windows 8 up till now.

• Windows To Go:

Window To Go is an exciting new feature introduced in Windows 8 with the help of which windows will be booted by USB device known as Live USB. This feature works with both USB-2.0 and USB-3.0. Another interesting thing about this feature is that if the USB device is unplugged the Windows gets freeze and starts working again if you re-plug within 60 seconds of removal. But according to Microsoft, the Hibernate option will not be available in this feature.

• Windows 8 User Interface:

As mentioned above, Windows 8 is featured with an extremely impressive User Interface that has never seen before on an OS. The new style that has been provided to the UI of Windows 8 is being called Metro Style. The advantages of this metro style design are that it shows the most important of the information in the very first place. It is very simple without any un-desired sophistication and you get a full control on your device. This UI is also special because of its smooth navigation property which can be achieved by touch, mouse and keyboard; whatever navigation tool you are using.

• Windows Store:

Microsoft has also planned to reveal a Windows app Store with Windows 8 where users can browse through the metro-style windows applications for their being created by the developers. Experts say that this initiative by Microsoft is kind of similar to Apple’s app stores, and it will help Microsoft against its war against Apple.

Windows 8 System Requirements

It is obvious that Windows 7 was very much successful in capturing the world’s attention and producing more Windows users so Microsoft is currently working hard to make Windows 8 more impressive and acceptable world-wide than Windows 7.
It is expected that Windows 8 could be run on the devices which are capable to run Windows 7 on them, however, minimum system requirements for Windows 8 are:

• Processor: 1GHz
• RAM: 1GB (32-bit) or 2GB (64-bit)
• HD Space: 16GB (32-bit) 20GB (64-bit)

Microsoft has launched the Pre-Beta version of Windows 8 for those who like to experience the new Windows 8. This pre-beta version is available free to download from here in three different packages:

1- 64-bit version – Only Operating System
2- 32-bit version – Only Operating System
3- 64-bit version – With Developer Tools
