Torrents are used widely these days to get various things on the internet for free. Some of us have high speed internet so they don't need to worry about the downloading speed of the file through uTorrent. BUT most of us don't have high speed internet but still want to download torrents at high speed so in this column we will tweak uTorrent to increase the download speed.
Open your uTorrent and go to Options > Preferences. Then click on Connection Tab.
Uncheck "Randomize port each start" and enter "45654" as the port to be used.
Step 2:
Now go to "bandwidth" tab.
Set "Maximum Upload Rate" to 1.
Set "Maximum download Rate" to 0 (This will make it unlimited)
Check "Apply rate limit to uTP connections"
Step 3:
Go to "Bittorent" Tab.
Enable the "Protocol encryption".
Step 4:
Go to "Queueing" Tab.
Limit the upload rate to 1.
Click OK and now you are almost done. Now when downloading any torrent file just set the bandwidth allocation to high.
NOTE: The speed of download will not exceed your bandwidth limit but it will certainly boost up the download to certain level.
