From the Mobile World Congress (MWC) comes the New Samsung Galaxy Beam, an Android phone with a built-in projector. The Galaxy Beam is only of 0.49 inches. The Galaxy Beam can project movie, pictures or PowerPoint presentations up to 50” large. The quality of estimated movie is 640-by-360 pixels. The Galaxy Beam has a a a little bit rounded back and a shiny yellow color that wraps around the cellphone to contrast with the dark-colored body. This New Samsung cellphone can project movies for up to three hours before you need to recharge the battery again.
Other than the built-in projector, the Galaxy Beam’s specifications are very conventional for high-end Operating Android mobile phones. The Galaxy Beam is operated by a 1GHz dual-core brand, 5-megapixel photographic camera and has a 8GB of built-in storage space as well as a microSD slot. It has a 4-inch WVGA TFT LCD show. It currently operates Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but will be improved to Ice Cream Sandwich.

Samsung did a quick demo projector image quality. The image clarity was impressive: colors looked vivid and the picture looked sharp. In other demos of pico projectors I’ve seen, colors looked washed out, while images and text looked faded.
