How to Enable NetMeeting on Windows 7

You might have read at many places on the internet some what like "NetMeeting is not included in Windows 7 and there is no compatible NetMeeting installation package for Windows 7."
Yes! This is true to some extent.

NetMeeting isn't included in Windows 7; it's now called Microsoft SharedView. There is a small download that needs to be installed on each machine wanting to join the meeting. Up to 15 participants are allowed, and this program works on Windows 7, Vista, XP,  Windows Server 2003 machines.

But the problem is this is not a Netmeeting replacement and it cannot be used over a LAN. But you need a WinLive ID to work on it.

Another Alternate for NetMeeting on Windows 7

Click the START button.

In the "Search Programs and Files" text box, type the keyword "Windows Remote Assistance". Under the Programs heading, you will find that.
Click on that and follow the text.

After some 2 simple steps, it will create a file. Store that on your Desktop.

And then it will open a window and will generate a password. Copy that password and don't close the window.

Now, the file stored to your other counterpart and ask him to open it.
And then ask him to type the password generated (DONT COPY and PASTE it).

And the other person can see your screen with your permission.
