Follow below steps to learn "How to Deactivate Facebook Account?" :

STEP 1:

Log in to your to your Facebook account and click over the down arrow shaped button located at the top right on Facebook page and Select "Account Settings" from the list.

STEP 2:

On left hand side, you will see different titles, select "Security" from them.

STEP 3:

Now under the title of "Security" you can find "Deactivate Your Account", select it to proceed further.

STEP 4:

Now Facebook will confirm that "Are you sure you want to Deactivate your Facebook Account?" Here Facebook requires specific reason for leaving. 

STEP 5:

If you're admin of Fan Page on Facebook, creator of group on Facebook or the developer of app on Facebook, so you could delegate admin authorities to anyone as per your likeness. You could select an option by which you can even receive Facebook updates via email even after deactivated from Facebook.

Click over Confirm button to Deactivate your Facebook account.

STEP 6:

Now Facebook requires your Facebook password to make your account deactivated. So, type your password and click over "Deactivate now" to finally disable your Facebook account.

After Security check that you're not a robot temporarily disable your account.

You can reactivate at any time by logging in with your email and password.
